Oliver McBurnie hopes to play for Rangers one day

Rangers haven’t been able to ensure consistency in the Scottish Premiership recently, which has had a negative effect on their title chances.

The Bluenoses have done themselves proud in Europe under Steven Gerrard this season, but there’re definitely improvements to be had in domestic competitions. Although, it appears as if the Glasgow club received a transfer boost recently, as according to a story on Oliver McBurnie’s official Instagram account, he wants to play for Rangers one day.

McBurnie was linked with a move to Rangers in the summer transfer window before he signed a new contract with Swansea in the Championship in England.

Given that the forward is a Rangers fans and is quite open about playing for the Bluenoses, it would come as no surprise if he does end up at Ibrox next summer.

THE VERDICT:

The Scotland international has been very impressive for Swansea City this season and was on fire during his loan spell at Barnsley in the last campaign. So, with the forward seemingly open to moving to Ibrox at some point in the future, perhaps they’ll launch a bid for the 22-year-old in the summer.

And, with Alfredo Morelos currently struggling for support at the pinnacle of the attack, Steven Gerrard would love nothing more than to bring McBurnie to the club.
