The return of Celtic vs Rangers was always likely to be a fiery contest as Scottish football welcomed back its most illustrious fixture.
While the Gers failed to put up much of a fight on their return to Parkhead after four years away, there’s little doubting the name of the fixture itself is a spectacle in its own right.
One of the most infamous derbies in world football, the Hoops ran out 5-1 winners as Moussa Dembele become the first man since 1966 to notch a league hat-trick against the old enemy.
Though matters on the pitch will always define the pair, the fixture means so much more than the scoreline in a much wider sense.
Tempers are always likely to flare and while neither Joey Barton or Scott Brown were sent off, flare they did.
Photos of some of the damage allegedly made in the away end by visiting support emerged on Twitter, in which the toilets appear to have been wrecked.
Will Rangers be able to challenge Celtic this season?
