Potential consequences of selling Kieran Tierney in the summer

It’s safe to say that fans are starting to get used to life without Brendan Rodgers as not much has changed, with Rangers still struggling to keep up and consistency being ensured.

The Hoops have enjoyed quite a lot of success since Neil Lennon took interim charge and there’s still a couple of opportunities for them to secure even more silverware, with yet another treble in the offing.

However, a huge worry for pretty much everyone involved with Celtic Football Club in recent times has been Kieran Tierney’s future, as the youngster has reportedly (as per Scottish Sun) caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund.

Of course, losing the left-back would come as a big blow, so here are the potential consequences…

CELTIC RECEIVE VITAL FUNDS

Kieran Tierney leaving in the summer would obviously be hugely disappointing as he’s established himself as one of the standout performers in years gone by and has plenty of potential.

Indeed, the 21-year-old is reportedly (as per the Sun) wanted by Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund in a £25 million deal this summer, so the Hoops could receive a healthy amount of funds.

It’s safe to say that £25 million could work wonders for the Hoops in the summer transfer window as they’ll need to strengthen in a number of areas, including finding a replacement for the Scotsman and with Scott Brown ageing.

PARKHEAD GUTTED

Celtic fans would be absolutely gutted to see the defender depart in the summer transfer window as he’s arguably one of the hottest prospects in European football. He’s been able to create plenty of excitement during his time at the club and has played a big part in securing trophies in recent years, so his departure would be devastating.

It will be extremely difficult for the Hoops to find a replacement for him as there’s not many better left-backs out there, let alone another youngster who can fill the void, so fans would be less than impressed.

Celtic fans, how much of a blow would it be to lose Tierney?
