Potentially bad news for Celtic fans emerges ahead of summer window

Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their team to go on to complete a successive back-to-back domestic Treble this season when they face Motherwell at Hampden Park.

The Bhoys have continued to dominate Scottish football for almost a decade and Brendan Rodgers has also managed to develop a number of this young players into possible stars of the future during his time at Celtic Park, although that has started to bring some unwanted interest.

First, Kieran Tierney had been attracting a number of clubs from south of the border, and according to reports in the Scottish Sun, Callum McGregor is another who has been watched by Premier League teams.

The media outlet is claiming that the versatile Scotland international is being monitored by AFC Bournemouth and Watford, with both keen on bringing the 24-year-old to England’s top-flight.

McGregor still has three years left on his current Celtic deal and having made over 50 appearances this season for the Hoops, Rodgers is believed to be wanting to keep him at Celtic Park, so they could try and demand a huge fee for him to leave.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Celtic fans in the Tavern will be desperate to keep McGregor at the club, with interest gathering pace for a number of their star players. The locals will hope they can fend any interest off with the player’s contract, believing they can out-price potential bidders with their asking price.
