The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are in shell-shock this week after they suffered their first defeat in 69 matches last weekend.
Following an unbelievable unbeaten domestic run in Scottish football, Celtic were finally defeated by Hearts last Sunday at Tyncastle Park, much to the dismay of The Hoops propping up our bar in the tavern. Celtic’s run came to a dramatic end as they suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat due to goals from Harry Cochrane, Kyle Lafferty and a brace from Manuel Milinkovic. It was a result that nobody would have predicted considering the form Celtic were in, and Brendan Rodgers will need to ensure that his players quickly lift their heads up to maintain their position at the top of the SPFL.
Since the shock defeat at Hearts, Celtic’s manager has been quoted on the clubs official Twitter page stating that he does not believe the record will ever be matched again in the Scottish top-flight.

Considering the rarity of such a lengthy unbeaten record, it would be difficult to argue with Rodgers’ assessment.
Plenty of the Bhoys turned out on Twitter to pay tribute to their player’s achievements and the leadership qualities of their manager.
And a handful of other green and white supporters couldn’t resist the opportunity to submit their transfer demands directly to the club.
Here’s what the Celtic fans had to say in response to the club post…
Fantastic achievement proud of my club I’m sure Brendan will make the changes that are required #inbrendanwetrust #69

Win the 4 remaining matches up to the break and stretch away from the rest.
That's the aim for the rest of 2017
