Proud Rangers fans congratulate their tournament winning U19s

A lot of Rangers fans have been taking to show their appreciation for their young Bluenoses as they beat MSK Zilina in the final of a youth tournament hosted by Viktoria Plzen. The Glasgow club played group games against Legia Warsaw and the hosts they qualified for the final and were lucky enough to bring it home.

The final match of the tournament looked to be the easiest of the whole competition for Graeme Murty’s young Gers. The fans would certainly have enjoyed receiving updates as their U19 stars went on to win the 15th instalment of the competition hosted by Plzen and most will be keen to see some success from the Ibrox club’s senior side as well, although Steven Gerrard will be aware on the pressure he’s under to deliver silverware.

The Gers won their first competitive fixture under Gerrard last Thursday when they beat FK Shkupi at Ibrox in their Europa League 1st round qualifier, however, with just a 2-0 aggregate lead the fans will be interested to see how Gerrard’s Gers approach their return fixture against the Macedonians tomorrow evening. If Stevie G can get past the 1st round qualifier he’ll have already bettered last season’s result in the competition and the fans can expect good things.
