The Derby County fans in the Transfer Tavern are discussing the prospect of Tom Ince on one wing and Michael O’Halloran on the other.
This is certainly a prospect which could become a reality this season after the Daily Record (via The Derby Telegraph) reported Derby County’s interest in the Rangers forward.
Michael O’Halloran has only featured once since new Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha took over from Mark Warburton with the Scottish Premiership outfit and his future is up in the air at the moment.
Derby have sent scouts to keep their tabs on the attacking midfielder during a Rangers under 20 game against Hearts recently, but he did not turn up and he has since been forced to train on his own.
Derby are among a quartet of clubs interested in Michael O’Halloran.
Derby’s play-off rivals Huddersfield Town are keeping an eye on the 26-year-old and monitoring his progress and so are League One promotion favourites Bolton Wanderers.
They are joined by play-off chasing third tier side Southend United.
Derby, under the guidance of Gary Rowett, are an outside bet of finishing in the play-off places although their promotion push will probably have to wait until next season now.
