Rangers closing in on Eros Grezda

The transfer activity at Rangers this summer does not appear to be slowing down as Steven Gerrard could be about to line up his 13th signing.

According to Index, they are claiming that the Light Blues are closing in on a deal to sign Eros Grezda from NK Osijek.

The winger would become the club’s second signing from the Croatian outfit, in which they beat during their Europa League qualifying campaign, with Borna Barisic making the move to Ibrox earlier this summer.

Grezda did not feature in those games against Gerrard’s side, however, it appears that they are interested in the talent from the nation, with Nikola Katic also having been snapped up at the beginning of the transfer window.

An Albania international, it is believed that the two clubs are in talks about a transfer in the region of €3million for the 23-year-old.

The Verdict:

Rangers will be looking to add a wideman following the injury suffered by Jamie Murphy at Kilmarnock last weekend.

Grezda had an impressive debut year in Croatia for Osijek, scoring eight goals across all competitions and showed that he has a huge amount of pace that could threaten defences in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers have until Friday to make their final additions and it remains to be seen if the 23-year-old will be the 13th to arrive at Ibrox this summer.
