Rangers were extremely busy throughout the January transfer window and it appears they managed to secure a deal right at the death.
According to a report by Sky Sports, The Light Blues secured an agreement with Dundee to bring Glen Kamara to Ibrox earlier than expected.
The Finland international had initially signed a pre-contract agreement to join Rangers in the summer once his contract expired.
However, the midfielder will now team up with the Light Blues and will play a part in Steven Gerrard’s side this season as they look to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
Dundee were said to be keen on pushing a deal through this month as Kamara has been frozen out of the squad since the turn of the year.
The arrival of Kamara being earlier than expected does not necessarily come as a surprise and Rangers will be pleased to have him.
The Finland international has been impressive with his performances over the past season or so and Gerrard will be delighted to be able to have him in his squad for the remainder of this season.
Kamara joins the likes of Matt Polster, Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis at Ibrox this winter as the Light Blues continue to rebuild their squad.
