Rangers complete signing of Borna Barisic

Rangers have continued with their efforts in the transfer market this summer and have announced their 11th signing of the transfer window.

Steven Gerrard has been busy reshaping his squad following his appointment as the Light Blues manager and has seen a number of faces arrive, as well as depart.

And, according to the club’s official website, he has seen another man join up with his squad as they look to be competitive this season.

Rangers have announced that Borna Barisic has signed a four year deal with the Scottish outfit after he joined from NK Osijek.

The Ibrox side faced the Croatian club in the previous round of the Europa League and Gerrard was impressed with the performances of the Croatia international, in which he also netted against the Light Blues.

The Verdict:

Barisic should prove to be an excellent addition for Rangers this summer as they look to finalise their transfer business.

Gerrard was desperate to add a left-sided defender to the ranks at Ibrox and the 25-year-old should be able to fill that need.

He is an experienced player, having played for his nation three times and only just missed out on representing Croatia at the World Cup, and will be able to link up with fellow defender Nikola Katic in the back line.
