Steven Gerrard was extremely busy with his recruitment drive in the summer and is expected to make a few additions to the Rangers team in the winter as well.
The Light Blues boss saw his side head to the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the weekend, whilst he has also witnessed his side play rather well in European competition as well.
However, it is believed that Gerrard still feels he has areas that need improvement within his squad, with creativity thought to be lacking.
Kieran Dowell has been linked with a temporary switch from Everton to join the Liverpool legend in Glasgow.
The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and impressed in the Championship, has only featured twice for Marco Silva’s side this year and could be available on a short-term deal in January.
Dowell could be an excellent addition to Rangers in the winter and would certainly help to bolster their creative options in the final third.
The England Under-21 international impressed during his time at Forest last season and would have liked to get his career at Everton started.
However, his opportunities have been limited to just the League Cup and a loan move to the Light Blues could be the exact kind of thing needed for the winger to kick on further, where he could team up with Joe Worrall.
