Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting the club to add a number of players to their squad in the summer as they look to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Bhoys look to complete a second back-to-back domestic treble and the locals will be furious to be seeing it happen once again, whilst their club continues to be left behind.
Punters will be expecting a number of changes at Ibrox, with the future of Graeme Murty uncertain and there have already been rumours that a vast amount of players could also depart from Gers in the summer.
One player that Rangers had been chasing was Swansea City’s Oliver McBurnie, however, the Daily Mail are claiming that sources close to the Glaswegian outfit are playing talks between the two down. The Scotland international has been impressive whilst on loan with Barnsley, however, links with Leeds United remain and it is believed he would prefer a move to Elland Road should he leave Wales in the summer.
A player of his talent would have been appreciated at Ibrox after the performances he has displayed with the Tykes, having scored eight times in 13 appearances at the Championship level.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will naturally be disappointed to hear that the club are playing down talks about signing a striker of McBurnie’s calibre, however, they will be expecting additions this summer.
