Rangers failed to get the better of Celtic earlier on today in the Old Firm clash, which has all but confirmed the destination of the Scottish Premiership title.
The Light Blues have been hugely impressive under the guidance of Steven Gerrard at times, but you can’t help but feel that summer additions are going to be vital if Rangers are to enjoy success next season.
What’s the news?
Rangers are weighing up a move for Greg Stewart, according to the Daily Record.
Indeed, it’s believed that the Light Blues will attempt to snap the attacker up on a free when his contract expires at parent club Birmingham City in the summer.
Gerrard is a big admirer of Stewart and Rangers now look favourites to secure his services.
Greg Stewart was hugely impressive during the first half of the current campaign as he managed to produce eight goals and seven assists in the Scottish Premiership.
The attacker has shown that he can handle the pressure of the Scottish Premiership and he’s in the prime of his football career at the age of 29. Also, the fact that he’s going to be available on a free transfer in the summer makes it an easy decision for the Light Blues, as it’s not exactly that much of a gamble.
Indeed, the tricky winger could even replace Ryan Kent at Ibrox as Rangers are reportedly (as per Liverpool Echo) set to miss out as the Reds want £12 million for the winger. Stewart can operate on either wing and he’s shown that he can ensure a consistent flow of goals and assists in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers fans, do you think Stewart can fit in at Rangers?
