Rangers are continuing to search the transfer market this summer for attacking options as Steven Gerrard looks to complete his overhaul of the squad.
The new Light Blues chief has already made 11 signings so far to improve his squad, however, it appears he has a pair of strikers on his radar.
Both players are Bosnia and Herzegovina internationals and have looked to have impressed a number of clubs recently with their performances.
Gerrard knows Hodzic from their time together at Liverpool, where the young striker failed to make an impact. However, with Zagreb, he has managed to score 48 goals in 108 appearances for the champions.
Koljic is another that has impressed, having started the season in fine form as he has netted five times in the first three league matches and their chairman has confirmed Rangers made an undisclosed bid for him.
“We’ve had an offer on the table for Elvir for the past few days from Panathinaikos, as well as French League Two outfit Red Star and Belgian club Beveren,” Drasko Ilic said.
“Yesterday, Glasgow Rangers also bid but we’re not in a hurry to sell. We are waiting for the right price, although these offers are much higher than the one we had last year from Lech Poznan. We will be patient and I’m sure that we will soon get the right offer.”
Rangers will need to add attacking options to their squad as they only have Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq currently.
Both Hodzic and Koljic have proven to be rather prolific and have seen their form rewarded with international call-ups, which could bode well for Gerrard’s side if they did join.
It remains to be seen if one, or both, will arrive at Ibrox during the transfer window, although they could prove to be inspired additions.
