Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to praise 19-year-old attacker Andrew Dallas, who extended his contract at the club.
The teenager has subsequently been loaned out to Scottish Championship side Morton for the rest of the season, where he can expect more game time. He has not been trusted yet by first-team manager Steven Gerrard, but this deal is a sign that he is committed to The Gers.
Dallas spent half of last season on loan at Scottish League Two outfit Stenhousemuir, where he scored three goals in six games. This was an impressive return, and he has been touted as one of Rangers’ brightest prospects.
Therefore, fans were quick to praise the forward, with a number calling for him to be given a chance in the first team. Obviously, that will not happen now, but it is an indication of how highly regarded he is.
This is what the fans had to say:
Great news Andy. Well deserved
