Rangers: Fans congratulate Jamie Barjonas after club announces new deal

Rangers midfielder Jamie Barjonas has signed a contract extension to remain at the club until the summer of 2021 as announced by the official Rangers website this evening.

Barjonas, who made his first-team debut under Graeme Murty in 2017, said of his new deal:

“This season has been good for me, I had a strong pre-season so the gaffer moved me up to the first-team and I am really enjoying every minute of it. To get the contract signed and stay for another year is brilliant for me and my family.”

He made the bench for the second leg of Rangers’ Europa League qualifier against St Joseph’s at Ibrox, but didn’t see any game time. He has, however, been in good form for the development and colt sides – scoring 1 goal and 1 assist in the Challenge Cup against senior teams.

Rangers fans congratulated the 20-year-old on his new deal on Twitter as the club made the announcement:

And as expected…..
