Rangers fans expect to see Mebude in the Ibrox first team one day

On Monday, Rangers hosted Motherwell at the Hummel Training Centre in a Reserve League match and the fans were all delighted to see their young Gers come out 6-2 winners. The score was 2-2 at half-time when young Dapo Mebude was brought on and he changed the game with a lovely treble as his side beat Motherwell’s reserves by four goals.

Netting a hat-trick for Rangers is never an easy task and the fact that Mebude has pulled it off at the age of just 17 speaks volumes about his ability. The fans have been commenting and expect him to be a big figure at Ibrox one day, with this moment being one that has put him on the map with a lot of Gers now recognising the 17-year-old  as one for the future to light up Glasgow in the coming years.

Mebude’s treble against Motherwell was his first hat-trick in the Scottish Reserve league and his side are now top of the tabel, two points above Kilmarnock’s reserves, however, Kilmarnock have a game in hand and a win could send them top above the Gers’ reserve side. Mebude will be keen to keep scoring goals and winning games and will be confident that he can help his side to winning the Reserve League and eventually cracking The Bluenose’s first eleven.

The fans are expecting big things of Mebude and will hope he can crack the first team at some point in his Rangers career.
