Rangers Colts battled to a stunning penalty shoot-out victory over Solihull Moors and thanks in no small part to outcast Eros Grezda, who shone according to The Daily Record.
Will Alfredo Morelos finish the season a Rangers player?
The Ibrox club’s young team now progress to the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup where they will face Wrexham at home.
He has, however, shown a willingness to help the Colts out, playing in every game of the cup so far as an overage player. Despite allegations of a spitting incident against Ballymena in the last round, Grezda lead by example and produced a standout performance to help seal the Gers’ comeback.
Rangers fans took to Twitter in reaction to Grezda’s goal scoring exploits, with one supporter jokingly tipping him for the 2020 Ballon d’Or award.
