Rangers academy official Twitter account released the news yesterday on the Rangers website that Jamie Barjonas would be leaving the club on-loan for Bury until January. The supporters are delighted for Barjonas, who is rated very highly at Ibrox, and will be keen to see him in the first-team when he returns.

The 19-year-old midfielder will be joining Bury in the fourth tier of English football and there’s no doubt that Steven Gerrard will be keeping a very close eye on the youngster’s progress. Bury travelled to Ibrox for a pre-season friendly back in July and a lot of the fans are delighted to see that Barjonas has gone to The Shakers as opposed to any other club after seeing how they play up close.
Jamie Barjonas is no stranger to first-team football as he’s featured for the Bluenoses nine times at senior level. However, the last time the 19-year-old featured for the first-team was back in December last year in the 2-0 win over Motherwell. All of his games for the club came in a period between May and December last year and he’ll be desperate to show Gerrard that he deserves a shot in the first-team upon his return in 2019.
The supporters have all been wishing Barjonas good luck at Bury and you can read those messages here:
Always been impressed by this lad. Hopefully see him back after the game time to push for a first time place. Also, glad @buryfcofficial are getting a turn after the preseason game. Good bunch.

Best of luck. Not a bad little number to get some game time under the belt.
