Rangers fans on Twitter in awe of goal machine Lafferty

Over the summer, Steven Gerrard made the move to bring back the insanely popular Kyle Lafferty to Ibrox and with the striker bagging four goals in his first seven games, it looks like the fans are already back in love with the big man despite his six-year Ibrox absence.

Kyle Lafferty failed to start against St Johnstone but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t impact the game. The striker was brought on with the score at 3-0 and whilst The Gers were cruising to victory at the time, he still had his say on the result as he bagged himself his 4th goal of the season as a Bluenose. The striker maintained his goalscoring touch after putting one past Villarreal in the week and he’ll be keen to add some more to his name.

It looks like a real battle between Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty to see who will be starting in the lone striker role for Gerrard’s Rangers, however, Lafferty came on to play the final 20 minutes yesterday and with Morelos playing the full 90 they had some time to work together up front. It looks like the two can cut it alone or together and that will be music to the ears of the fans and Gerrard as they look to prepare for the long season ahead.

You can see what the Gers make of Lafferty here:

The Gers are desperate to see Lafferty get more goals to his name and are loving the way that this season is shaping up already.
