The last week or so has seen an embarrassing state of affairs going on at the SFA. The Scottish public vote for players who they want to see inducted into the Scottish football hall of fame, but when Paul Gascoigne was voted, the SFA withdrew his entry over fears that it would be seen as backing the ex-Rangers man, who has a questionable past. When the news was broken that Gascoigne’s entry into the Scottish football hall of fane was withdrawn, it was clear that Gascoigne himself was going to have something to say, and his response was quality. The tweet he produced in response, which has been included above, got a lot of Rangers fans laughing as be posted the video of his stunning goal for England against Scotland from 1996, along with the caption ‘NO HARD FEELINGS xxxx’.
Gascoigne undoubtedly deserves a spot in the hall of fame. The ex-England and Rangers man spent three years in Glasgow with the Gers after leaving Lazio and he was voted the player of the season in his first year at Ibrox. Gazza went on to rack up over 100 appearances for the Bluenoses and the fans will always look back on his time in Glasgow with fondness. As far as they’re concerned, Gazza’s already in the only hall of fame that matters and he won’t take the SFA’s snub too personally.

The Gers loved Gazza’s response to the SFA and will be keen to see him back at Ibrox sooner or later.
