Rangers are flying in Europe at the moment. Steven Gerrard has navigated the club through eight Europa League qualifiers and two Europa League group games and he’s yet to taste defeat. Last Thursday the Gers were at it again at home to Rapid Wein, winning 3-1 on the night and scoring a goal that will live long in the memories of the fans in the 94th-minute.

European nights at Ibrox truly are magical and when there are 50,000 Gers all behind their side cheering on a big European win, albeit only in the group stages, it’s reminiscent of what the club used to be like. However, Steven Gerrard won’t be looking at what the club used to be, he’ll be looking forward to what it can become and with teh current crop of players playing the way they are, Stevie G will be looking to achieve big things with his side.
After drawing 2-2 away at Villarreal and beating Rapid Wein 3-1 at Ibrox, The Gers are sitting pretty at the top of their Europa League group with an impressive four points. Their next two games in the competition come against Spartak Moscow both home and away. If they can come out of those fixtures and still hold onto that top spot then it’s more than likely that they’ll be getting to the knockout rounds, especially if Morelos can keep scoring the way he is.
