Rangers: Fans react to Carlos Cuellar’s tweet showing him tackling Steven Gerrard

Rangers fans have been reacting to a picture Carlos Cuellar posted on Twitter showing him tackling Steven Gerrard.

The former Ibrox favourite was trying to stop the current Gers manager whilst he was in the colours of former club Liverpool and appeared to go in a little late on him.

Indeed, Cuellar took to the social media site to upload the photo and captioned it “Sorry Gaffer…”, which led to the club retorting with a tweet of their own stating: “It was supposed to be a friendly Carlos”, although the defender appeared to have the last laugh:

Over 30,000 supporters flocked to Ibrox to watch the charity game between Rangers and Liverpool legends, although the Light Blues had to come away from the contest with a 2-3 defeat.

However, there was still some rather entertaining football still on show, with Cuellar putting in a performance that earned him plenty of plaudits on Twitter.

Many of the fans that commented on his photo shared praise to his display, with many believing the 38-year-old still has it – although he was playing club football for Bnei Yehuda up until the summer (The Scottish Sun).

Here are just some of their reactions…
