Rangers fans take to Twitter to celebrate as Morelos signs new deal

There really is no feeling like when your best player, fan favourite and top goalscorer of the season signs a new deal is there? For Rangers fans, that feeling is one they’re experiencing right now as Alfredo Morelos has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him stay at Ibrox until 2023 after initially signing for the club in summer 2017.

The Colombian striker has been an absolute revelation since he made the move from HJK Helsinki to Rangers and Ibrox is the striker’s home now. Glasgow has become El Buffalo’s stomping ground and at the age of just 22-years-old with 46 goals in 84 games as a Ger, it looks like he’s set to make himself a Rangers hero, especially if he stays until the end of this deal by which time he’ll be 27-years-old.

The supporters have been waiting for a new deal for their talisman for a while now and despite some question marks over the disciplinary issues that Morelos has this season, with four dismissals this season alone, the Bluenoses could not be happier that their Colombian goal-getter is set to stay under the tutelage of Steven Gerrard for another four years.

You can see exactly what the Gers have had to say about Morelos’ new deal here:

The Gers have loved seeing that their star man has signed up and will be desperate for Gerrard to follow this up with some more cracking business in the summer.
