Rangers fans take to Twitter to demand game time for Ross McCrorie

On Monday, twins Robbie and Ross McCrorie both celebrated their 21st birthdays. Both of the pair are plying their trade at Ibrox, with Ross the more senior having featured 14 times this season. However, the fans don’t believe that those 14 games are enough and in response to the happy birthday tweet, they’ve been calling for him to feature more.

Ross McCrorie certainly has all of the attributes to become a hero at Ibrox. The 21-year-old midfielder stands tall at six foot two inches and is a commanding figure in the holding midfield position in Steven Gerrard’s system. However, his game time has been limited this season as he’s only managed to start one-third of his club’s games in the Scottish Premier League, a figure he’ll be desperate to increase.

For a lot of young players, with more game time comes more maturity, and as a defensive midfielder, having a maturity to your game is crucial. Gerrard will know what he’s doing as he will likely increase the Scottish midfielder’s minutes next season, but for now, the Bluenoses have little patience and are just desperate to see their man thrust into the action as soon as possible, believing he’s more than good enough to hold his own in Scotland’s top flight.

Loads of Rangers fans are calling for more minutes for Ross McCrorie and will hope that after the international break Gerrard throws him into the massive Old Firm clash on March 31st.
