Rangers fans have been left fuming this morning as they’ve come across an article from The Daily Record that claims their star man, Alfredo Morelos, is to be the subject of an £8 million bid from Nice as Patrick Vieira looks for a Mario Balotelli replacement.

The Colombian goal-getter has been on a real hot streak this season. In his 34 appearances in all competitions, this season the 22-year-old has scored 20 goals and registered te assists, a massive improvement on the 18 goals and eight assists he managed in nine games more last season. Owing to that record, it’s unlikely that a bid of just £8 million would be enough to prise the Colombian from Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard has been open about his goalscorer, claiming before the transfer window that bids for Morelos were going to be inevitable. However, he’s standing firm on his promise that he won’t be letting him go, and so far that seems to have been easy enough. There’s no way that the Ibrox faithful would be happy with their main man leaving unless they get a figure of at least treble the £8 million bid they’ve received, and that doesn’t look likely either.

8m in today’s market for someone who will score 30+ goals this season? No chance….They need to at least double it

The Gers hate the idea of losing Morelos but they know that whilst the bids are as derisory as £8 million then Morelos is going nowhere.
