Ryan Kent has been impressive for Rangers this season following his arrival from Liverpool in the summer.
The winger joined Steven Gerrard at the club on a season-long loan from the Premier League outfit and has been an influential member of the team.
Kent appears to have found his feet with the Scottish Premiership side, having hit the back of the net five times in his 16 appearances.
It is no secret that Rangers are keen to keep the 22-year-old at Ibrox for as long as possible and Gary McAllister has revealed they continue to ask Liverpool the questions.
Gerrard’s assistant told The Daily Record: “The fact is, Ryan’s still a Liverpool player so it’s a decision for Liverpool, isn’t it?
“Will he be here next season? It would be nice because we’ve seen the benefits of having him here but he’s Liverpool’s player. We keep asking the question but it’s up to them. They’re very much aware of what he’s doing up here.”
Kent has been one of the standouts for Gerrard and his Rangers side over the course of the campaign this season.
The winger has played a pivotal role for the Light Blues and his absence was clearly felt a few months ago when he had to spend time on the sidelines through injury.
However, it appears any move will come down to whether Liverpool are ready to allow for it to happen, and if he continues to perform as well as he currently is, the Premier League side may not be willing to part with him.
