Rangers will need to seek immediate improvements if they are to stand any chance of securing the Scottish Premiership title in the current campaign.
The Bluenoses will be hugely disappointed with their result against Kilmarnock as they had the perfect opportunity to knock their opponents out of the title race.
Rangers are close to signing Matt Polster, who has now been granted a work permit.
Although, Polster’s deal is still to be finalised, but the tallest hurdle appears to have been overcome.
The defender has been on trial at Rangers after linking up with the squad around a month ago.
It’s thought that he is said to have caught the eye of Gerrard during the Rangers boss’ spell at Los Angeles Galaxy.
Matt Polster is said to have impressed Steven Gerrard, so the Bluenoses will be delighted that they’re closing in on securing his services.
The Bluenoses are currently lacking cover at right-back, so the United States international could prove to be a valuable asset at Ibrox, with the ability to play in the middle of midfield as well.
