Rangers make inquiry for Joe Worrall

Rangers’ transfer business appears to be far from over this summer as Steven Gerrard looks to line up another addition.

According to a report in The Daily Record, the Light Blues are thought to have already made an inquiry about taking Joe Worrall on loan from Nottingham Forest.

The 21-year-old is thought to have fallen down the pecking order at the City Ground and it is understood that the Championship outfit could be prepared to offload him.

The England Under-21 international is thought to have a number of possible options available to him, with Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City also considering whether to make an offer or not.

Gerrard is keen to add to his defence this summer, despite already having signed Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson, and sees Worrall as an ideal man to help strengthen his new-look backline even further.

The Verdict:

Worrall could be an excellent addition at Ibrox this summer, should Rangers be able to beat the competition for his signature.

With the clubs all rumoured to be interested in him, the £7.2million-rated (via Transfermarkt) enforcer could have a huge choice to make.

The defender is extremely talented and it is no surprise that he has a significant amount of interest, however, with Rangers making the first move and an England legend at the helm, the Scottish Premiership outfit will be hoping they have done enough to land him.
