Steven Gerrard is keen on making some additions to his Rangers squad in the winter in order to bolster his options.
And, according to a report, it appears he and the Light Blues are preparing to make an offer to beat off a number of competitors to the signature of a highly-rated talented prospect.
The England youth international could be tempted to leave north London in order to find regular first-team football and is believed to be keen on working with Gerrard at Ibrox.
The 19-year-old’s chances of breaking into the Tottenham first-team at Spurs are extremely difficult, with Mauricio Pochettino already having the likes of Ben Davies, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters in front of him.
With the likes of Newcastle and Huddersfield being interested, Rangers would be right to prepare themselves to launch a bid for Brown.
The defender is an excellent prospect that has managed to go through the academy ranks at both club and international levels, however, with his contract to expire in the summer and no new deal thought to be in the pipeline, a move would appear to be likely.
If Brown turns out to be as good as some of the recent graduates, then Rangers could have a great player on their hands if he does decide to join them at Ibrox.
