Rangers remain interested in Dominic Solanke

Rangers will be looking forward to their upcoming Scottish Premiership campaign following the changes that Steven Gerrard has made this summer.

The new manager has been busy in the transfer window making a number of additions to his squad in order to make them a competitive force.

Gerrard has made significant changes in all areas of the pitch, with permanent and temporary signings, however, reports are suggesting that he could still be in the market for another couple of names.

The Scottish Sun are claiming that there is “still a possibility” that Dominic Solanke can head to Ibrox during the transfer window. The Liverpool striker has been rumoured with a switch before and is thought to be keen on the idea.

The report states that it would be a loan deal, should an agreement be made between the two clubs, much like Umar Sadiq’s move from AS Roma.

The Verdict:

Having already added Sadiq to his line up this summer, with Alfredo Morelos in the side, it could be seen as a strange move for the time being.

The England Under-20 star has failed to live up to the hype at Liverpool since his move from Chelsea, although a switch to Ibrox could help him rediscover his form.

It remains to be seen if Gerrard will raid his former club for Solanke, but if they did, the Light Blues would be made significantly stronger.
