The match against Heart of Midlothian could not have come quick enough for Rangers this week, could it? It is never nice to lose to a rival and the best way for Steven Gerrard’s side to forget about their defeat at the weekend will be to go out and get a positive result as soon as possible, starting on Wednesday.
And, it appears that the Ibrox outfit may have some great news heading into the encounter with the Edinburgh club.
What’s the News?
Speaking in his pre-match press conference (via the club’s official Twitter account), Gerrard revealed that he had no fresh injury concerns, allowing him to select from the same squad he had available to him for the Old Firm derby – minus two men because of suspension.

Alfredo Morelos and Andy Halliday were both shown red cards at the weekend and will miss out.
The fact that Rangers have no new injury concerns will come as a boost to Gerrard and his team as they look to quickly move on from the defeat and try and make second theirs.
Although Morelos will be a huge loss to them for the upcoming games, the Light Blues looked magnificent without him in the second half at the weekend and managed to play some really good football.
Jermain Defoe and Kyle Lafferty will need to step up in front of goal, whilst Ryan Kent (who was maybe lucky not to have seen red at the weekend as well) will need to produce the same kind of display he showed in the second half.
If they are able to replicate that performance against Hearts on Wednesday, Gerrard’s side should have enough quality within the team to be able to get by and pick up a positive result at Ibrox.
Rangers fans, has the Hearts game come at the right time? Do you think the club still has enough quality to pick up three points on Wednesday? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
