Rangers will be looking to bounce back from a surprise defeat to Livingston at the weekend with a win against Rapid Vienna on Thursday night.
The Ibrox outfit have been performing well in European competition so far and will be feeling confident they can get a positive result against the Austrian outfit.
However, Steven Gerrard will be wary of his opponents, as they managed to record a win against Spartak Moscow in the previous gameweek.
And, following the defeat in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend, he could be prepared to make a number of changes to his side.
The Croatian defender has been instrumental for Rangers this season since joining in the summer and could make a return to the first-team.
For those two to come into the starting line-up, it could mean Joe Worrall and Ovie Ejaria both drop to the bench or miss out completely.
Jamie Murphy remains Gerrard’s only long-term injury doubt, whilst Ryan Jack continues to remain a doubt with a calf injury.
Rangers will be looking to ensure their defeat to Livingston was just a blip, although they will need to be at their very best to get three points against Rapid Vienna.
Gerrard could look to make a number of changes to the squad, including the decision to bring back Katic into his line-up, which should immediately help to improve the defence.
The £855k-rated enforcer, as per Transfermarkt, has been key for the Light Blues so far this season when he has played and it was surprising not to see him in the team that ultimately lost at the weekend.
