Steven Gerrard has been busy adding to his Rangers squad this winter as they look to continue challenging Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
The likes of Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis have already arrived on loan, whilst Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara are set to arrive in the summer.
And, it seems another man could be about to join them in the near future.
The United States of America international had a training stint with the Light Blues during their winter training camp in Tenerife and Gerrard has confirmed that he would be looking to bring the 25-year-old to the club on a long-term agreement.
“We’re in talks with his agent,” he is quoted as saying by The Herald Scotland.
“We haven’t got it over the line just yet. But we’ve told his advisors that we’d like him to come. If we do, it would be a long-term deal.”
Barring any drawbacks in an agreement, it would appear that Polster could be a Rangers player in the near future.
The American would be an excellent addition to the squad as he is extremely versatile and can play in a number of positions that will be beneficial for Gerrard.
With the additions that the Light Blues have made this season, Rangers will surely feel they can push Celtic all the way.
