Rangers were interested in Charlie Adam

Rangers have made a number of signings this summer, however, one man does not appear to be on their radar any longer.

Steven Gerrard has already had an impressive start to life as the Light Blues chief and has not yet tasted defeat in the nine games he has overseen.

The former Liverpool man has made a number of additions to his squad that have all helped to contribute to those performances and results, and reports are now suggesting that one man is no longer on his radar.

According to a report in The Daily Telegraph, Charlie Adam had once been attracting interest from his former club, but now it appears that Rangers are no longer interested in him.

The Stoke City midfielder has been told he can leave the club this summer as they look to win back promotion to the Premier League.

It is thought the Scotland international would have welcomed a move back to Glasgow and his former side, as well as being tempted by the possibility of being reunited with Gerrard after they spent time together at Liverpool.

The Verdict:

Rangers will no longer require any more central midfield players this summer after Gerrard recruited heavily in the summer.

He brought in the likes of Scott Arfield, Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria to add to his squad, whilst also having Ryan Jack as an option as well.

Adam would certainly have helped to add some experience to the side, however, it appears that Rangers have now cooled their interest in him this summer.
