Rangers win the race to sign Ryan Kent on season-long loan

Rangers will be excited about the upcoming Scottish Premiership season following the work that Steven Gerrard has already managed to achieve at Ibrox.

The new manager has already seen his side progress into the next round of the Europa League, where they will meet Croatian outfit Osijek, although he has admitted he still has some concerns about their performances.

However, that could be down to the fact that he has brought in a number of additions this summer to help improve his side and they could need some time to gel and get used to the style of play Gerrard wants them to adapt to.

And, it does not look as though the Light Blues have finished with their transfer business yet, with the former Liverpool star using his connections at Anfield to lure another player to Ibrox.

According to a report by the Scottish Sun, Rangers have won the race to sign Ryan Kent on a season-long loan deal, after convincing Jurgen Klopp he would be used properly throughout the campaign.

The Verdict:

A switch to Ibrox could be a smart move for the winger to make this summer as he and Gerrard will know each other from their days together at Anfield.

Kent has had a couple of indifferent spells whilst out on loan, with time in Germany with Freiburg and with Bristol City last season, however, he will be hoping to prove himself in Glasgow.

Rangers are keen to add an attacking threat to their side and the 21-year-old is thought to be a man that can make a real difference for the Light Blues, should he be given the opportunity to do so.
