These are nervous times for the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern, in more ways than one. Indeed, with our resident Gers still fretting over who exactly the club will turn to as their manager, it’s a pivotal few weeks for the Light Blues.
A vacant gig at Ibrox is always something to discuss amongst the punters propping up our bar, though it’s not the only thing to be concerned about right now. In fact, an injury to a key player has the fans who frequent our four walls in their droves worried.
According to the Daily Record, Graham Dorrans is waiting to find out the extent of his ankle injury. The Scotland international is reportedly due to see a specialist this week after missing a number of games since limping off during their draw with Kilmarnock last week.
The injury isn’t thought to have healed as quickly as hoped and the former Norwich City man is believed to be a major doubt for the game with Aberdeen in three weeks time, much to the dismay of our resident Rangers fans.
It’s a major blow for whoever takes over Rangers between now and the Aberdeen game. Dorrans’ goals from midfield certainly are a miss for the Gers and it’s yet another concern in a hugely frustrating campaign for the club.
