The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a tweet from Rangers official twitter account, congratulating Jamie Murphy, Russell Martin and Jason Cummings on being selected in the Scotland squad for the latest internationals. The trio of Gers will be in the squad to face Costa Rica and Hungary.

The three Rangers players selected are all playing at Ibrox on loan from their respective clubs. That won’t stop the Gers propping our bar up celebrating their call up though as the Glasgow club sit second in the Scottish Premier League. The 3-2 loss at home Celtic in the latest edition of the Old Firm on Sunday put an end to a fantastic run form which saw them score 23 goals in six straight wins.
The international break has come at a good time for Rangers fans, as they face Kilmarnock at Ibrox in an attempt to regain momentum after the Celtic defeat. Our resident Gers will be hoping their international trio can kick on from their call up and shine on Saturday to try and narrow the gap between themselves and Celtic
With that in mind, here’s the Gers’ verdict:
About time our national team was about the National instead of current & former players related 2 the piggery, maybe now Scotland might start getting back in2 the big tournaments
