Caixinha delivers potential Rangers boost ahead of Friday’s trip to Hamilton

The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern are rather eager to put last week’s dismal loss to Celtic behind them.

Indeed, our local Light Blues want Pedro Caixinha to prove he’s up to the challenge and get over his outburst towards Scott Brown ASAP, so their trip to Hamilton Accies on Friday certainly offers the Portuguese the chance to do that.

So, comments made by the Gers boss to Rangers TV (posted on their official website) have been rather well received amongst our punters. He’s revealed that Bruno Alves could be in line to feature down at the SuperSeal Stadium on Friday night, after missing the Old Firm.

The Portuguese international hasn’t really got going since joining the Ibrox giants over the course of the summer and picked up a calf strain in the League Cup quarter-final, though looks like he could be in with a shout of at least making the match day squad later this week.

“He (Bruno) is already back with us and he is going to be tested today and we will know today or maybe tomorrow if he is going to be an option to play on Friday”, said Caixinha.

Landlord’s Verdict:

It’s important that Rangers get Alves up to full speed quickly. Obviously a talent, few would doubt his pedigree, though it’s just not happened for him in Glasgow thus far.

A good performance alongside the developing Ross McCrorie would go some way into helping the Gers truly bed him in.
