Rangers fans are already describing Pedro Caixinha as their own Jose Mourinho here in the Transfer Tavern, even though the Portuguese tactician has only been in charge of the club for one game.
Granted, that match was a 4-0 battering of Hamilton, but there is a long way to go at Ibrox, with plenty of work to be done on and off of the pitch.
And reports from the Daily Record claim that the pieces may start to be put in place for the summer TODAY, with Caixinha set to sit down with chairman Dave King for their first official meeting.
They will, among other things, discuss the club’s transfer business for the coming window, with the 46-year-old chief set to be handed funds to rebuild his Gers squad and challenge Celtic at the top end of the Premiership.
No names are given, but Caixinha’s global football knowledge may lead to players being targeted from abroad rather than within Scottish football.
Rangers will seriously challenge Celtic next season – agree?
