The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern still aren’t too sure about Pedro Caixinha.
With the Portuguese gaffer having made huge changes over the course of the summer, our local Light Blues haven’t been wholly impressed with the run of results under him just yet.
Indeed, reports suggesting he’d fallen out with Ibrox star Kenny Miller threatened to annoy the punters propping up our bar, such is the nature of the 37-year-old’s importance to the Rangers cause over the years.
Now, a former teammate of the forward’s has urged Caixinha to put any problems he might have with the marksman behind him and integrate Miller back into the first-team.
Andy Webster has been speaking to the Scottish Sun and revealed he believes the Gers NEED Miller back involved with the first-team as they look to close the gap on Celtic and Aberdeen, due to his previous experience in Scottish football.
”From my point of view, looking at what Kenny has achieved he’s someone they need right now”, said the 35-year-old.
“By that I mean in terms of leadership, in terms of being on the pitch and in being able to score goals.
“I hope the situation has been resolved because you wouldn’t be able to measure the benefit he brings to the team.”
Rangers’ best player right now is Alfredo Morelos. While a big talent, the Colombian is somewhat raw right now and Miller is the ideal foil for a man cutting his teeth in Scotland, so it’s important he’s brought back into the squad.
