Rangers fans will remember the 2002/03 season rather well.
The Ibrox outfit picked up the domestic treble, winning the Scottish Premier League, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup. The title race did go down to the final day, but Rangers confirmed their status as champions on goal difference despite Celtic winning 4-0 thanks to their own 6-1 win over Dunfermline.
On Sunday, the final day of that season was shown on BBC Scotland, and it allowed fans to re-watch Chris Sutton’s rather bitter interview after the match. He said that Celtic knew Rangers would win with a big score and that their opponents would lie down – he was later banned for five matches for those comments.
As you can imagine, the Rangers fans absolutely loved watching it all over again. They have been sharing their thoughts on the quotes from the former Chelsea forward, with one supporter highlighting just how bitter he sounds.
