The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern were delighted to watch their side win three games in a row for the first time in almost a year, though aren’t quite over last week’s managerial events.
Indeed, with Derek McInnes sensationally snubbing a move to Ibrox, our local Light Blues believe that the club remain a mess behind the scenes, despite turning a corner on the pitch of late. With that in mind, they’re not too sure what to make of today’s developments, as has been explained on the club’s official website.
They’ve announced that the club have made a change atop the marble staircase following the appointment of Barry Scott as the club’s new Director. Reportedly a lifelong Gers supporter, the fans in our bar are hoping he can help things run a bit more smoothly off the pitch, in light of the aforementioned McInnes saga.
However, considering how awfully decision makers have run the club over the years, not many of our punters propping up the bar are holding out all too much hope.
It’s hard to see one man changing Rangers and their not so smooth running of late, though perhaps a fresh pair of eyes could help reinvigorate goings on behind the scenes. Indeed, they sure need it.
