Rangers will be keen to carry on the brilliant start they have made to the January transfer window as they eye winning the Scottish Premiership.
Bitter rivals Celtic will be very nervous indeed to see that Rangers have acquired clinical goalscorer Jermain Defoe and quality midfielder Steven Davis.
Steven Gerrard has brought life to the Ibrox crowd, giving them anticipation of all the good that could be around the corner.
With Rangers and Celtic now tied on points, the team will have all the determination to continue their great performances during the second half of the season.
They may be even better as well by adding a player of Darren Fletcher’s quality, should they be able to persuade the Stoke man to move up to Scotland.
Fletcher, (who is valued at £1.8 million on Transfermarkt) is an experienced, level-headed midfielder that would improve the Gers current options.
Steven Gerrard is not only looking for knowledgeable, experienced players but ones like Darren Fletcher, who have the quality to match as well.
The Stoke man has made 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season and could find his game-time reduced even more should a new manager arrive with different ideas.
Rangers have already acquired one English-based midfielder in Steven Davis, Darren Fletcher could be the next on their list for sure.
For years Darren Fletcher played against Steven Gerrard, now the pair could reunite in hope of bringing the Scottish Premiership back to Ibrox this summer.
It would surely make a very attractive proposition for the Scotsman and all things considered, it could be one final positive career move.
