After Glasgow Rangers’ attempt to see an independent investigation carried out into the SPFL, the potential reconstruction of Scottish football is now the main talking point north of the border.
Following the decision to bring the 2019/20 campaign to a premature end due to the current pandemic wreaking havoc across the planet, Celtic were awarded the Premiership title whilst Hearts were relegated to the Championship. In the aftermath, Ann Budge, the owner of the Edinburgh club, put forward a plan of reconstruction, which has remained on the table ever since.
Now, a 14-10-10-10 structure has been proposed. For the top tier to expand, 11 of the 12 clubs need to agree with the proposal, and Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack is reportedly against it. As such, the SPFL plan to hold weekend talks with the Dons man in an attempt to change his mind over the situation.
Would you back such a reconstruction?
This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and it is fair to say they are far from happy with the news – some think it is similar to the situation involving Dundee back in April, and one fan has even said that these are “shameful tactics”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Shameful tactics by Doncaster to isolate one Club and pile the pressure on them to change their vote where have we seen this before???
The narrative being led is that if all this fails it is Aberdeen’s fault not the SPFL.
