Rangers have continued their great league and Europa League form as they get better and better under Steven Gerrard.
The Gers look a much better side already to the one they were last year and that largely has to be thanks to Steven Gerrard. The Liverpool and England legend on the pitch has proven to be as good from a managerial perspective and his Rangers team are one not to be messed with this season.
Like with all teams, improvements can be made and Rangers are no different.
Squad depth is something they must achieve seeing as the games are coming thick and fast and will continue to do so should Rangers progress deeper in the Scottish Cup and Europa League.
In midfield, they would struggle to find a better option in terms of value for money than free agent Didier Ndong.
Ndong, who is valued at £7.2 million on Transfermarkt, could be a useful player for Rangers despite his disappointing last few years in football.
Now without a club after leaving his Sunderland contract, Rangers should be the club to look at Didier Ndong for the player he is, rather than the nuisance he became whilst at Sunderland.
The Gabon international was a huge buy for Sunderland and at times the 24-year-old showed his class with some professional performances from the heart of midfield.
With the ability to play further forward or to sit in-front of the defence and protect them, Didier Ndong could prove to be a valuable acquisition for the Gers.
Allowing him regular game-time, both Rangers and Didier Ndong could benefit from this move and it’s something the Gers should look into right away.
