Dream October: Rangers

Dream October: Rangers
Rangers will be pleased with their start to life under Steven Gerrard, despite losing in the first Old Firm clash of the season.

The Bluenoses have looked promising so far this season as they continue to impress in Europe, but things haven’t exactly gone to plan in the Scottish Premiership.

Indeed, the Scottish club drafted in a number of players during the summer, so it’s safe to say that Steven Gerrard has a very strong squad at his disposal. But, it’s all about whether the players can ensure consistency by grinding out positive results from here on in.

Interestingly, the month of October may decide Rangers’ fate as they have the opportunity to climb back into title contention, but things could also go horribly wrong at the same time.

With that in mind, here is the dream October for the Bluenoses…

STEVEN GERRARD MASTERMINDS UNBEATEN RUN

Steven Gerrard made a number of changes during the summer transfer window as he drafted in a number of players from the English Premier League and all over Europe.

Indeed, it’s fair to say that most of the new signings have gelled together magnificently and will go on to achieve big things at the club, but at the same times there’s still a number of improvements to be had.

Consistency in the Scottish Premiership has been an issue, so if Gerrard can mastermind an unbeaten run through the month of October then they may be able to put themselves in a position to secure silverware in his first season.

CHASE DOWN HEARTS TO CLAIM POLE POSITION

Rangers have already slipped up on a couple of occasions in the Scottish Premiership so far this season as Hearts currently sit at the top of the table.

Indeed, the Bluenoses simply have to make the most of Celtic’s woes at this moment in time by enjoying a successful October that consists of only positive results, as they may be able to climb into pole position by overtaking a Hearts side that aren’t necessarily built for the long-run.
