Rangers are yet to really hit the heights that many thought they would in the Scottish Premiership this season, despite a strong European qualification run.
The Bluenoses will have their sights set firmly on making their way through the Europa League stages and challenging Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
Indeed, Rangers could certainly do with some added quality after a disappointing result in the first Old Firm clash of the campaign. In this day and age, success would be so much easier to achieve if the Glasgow side could create their dream XI that would consist of some of the greats over the past 10 years or so.
With that in mind, here’s a look at Rangers’ dream XI that could stroll towards securing the title…
RANGERS’ DREAM XI
Allan McGregor has been one of the standout performers for Rangers so far this season and was one hell of a ‘keeper during his previous stint at Ibrox.
Lee McCulloch was always able to ensure consistency during his time at Rangers and was adored by all supporters. Meanwhile, Kirk Broadfoot was never afraid to break down the flank and get balls into the box, while making himself a nuisance from set pieces. And, the likes of David Weir and Majdid Bougherra would always ensure defensive solidity and would remove any underlying issues in the Bluenoses’ back line.
Barry Ferguson wore his heart on his sleeve during his time in Scotland and would always be a leader on the field, with Steven Davis also giving his all and contributing in the final third. Josh Windass was amongst the goals before moving to the English Championship and his services have been dearly missed so far this season.
Lastly, the Bluenoses’ dream attack would consist of Nacho Novo, Kenny Miller and Alfredo Morelos. The latter has been Rangers’ standout performer in the current campaign and their results this season will be heavily reliant upon him, while Nacho Novo and Kenny Miller are two of the best forwards that the club has ever seen.
