Indeed, the midfielder has only managed to make four appearances in the current campaign as a number of Gerrard’s summer signings have jumped ahead of him in the pecking order.
Therefore, Rangers simply have to think about offloading him as there’s no place for him in the side.
Kyle Lafferty made an immediate impact at Rangers after signing back in the summer transfer window, but things have gone rather stagnant in recent times as he continues to struggle on the field.
Of course, with Alfredo Morelos carrying the main goalscoring load once again in the current campaign, it would be nice for the South American to be provided with back-up on a regular basis. So, Gerrard will inevitably be looking to bring in a striker in January, which would push Lafferty even further down the pecking order.
