Gerrard must start Jack and Kent against Hamilton

Rangers have been impressive in Europe so far this season but they’re still finding their feet slowly in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bluenoses will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak to three games later on today, having picked up two wins on the bounce against Rapid Wien and Hearts.

Interestingly, Rangers will travel to New Douglas Park to face Hamilton Academical in their next Scottish Premiership encounter. Martin Canning’s side haven’t been at their best this season with just two wins to their name, so they’ll be hungry to cause an upset later on today.

So, Steven Gerrard must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Rangers stars…

Ryan Jack

Ryan Jack played a big part in the side towards the start of the current campaign, but he has only just returned to proceedings having suffered with an injury.

Indeed, the likes of Scott Arfield, Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria have all cemented their places in the starting XI recently, but Gerrard could look to mix things up by resting one of his midfielders against a weaker side.

Therefore, Jack simply must start later on today against Hamilton Academical to get some minutes under his belt and put pressure on his teammates in the race for a permanent starting place.

Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent has been simply sensational since joining Rangers on loan during the summer transfer window, with a number of contributions in the final third.

Indeed, the Englishman will be raring to go after the international break and got himself on the scoresheet against Hearts last time out, so it’s a no-brainer for Gerrard to include him in his starting XI.

A team like Hamilton that have been defensively vulnerable would definitely struggle against the pace and trickery that the 21-year-old possesses.
